Male Enhancement/ Phalloplasty

Phalloplasty has been proven as a safe and effective method for male enhancement. Procedures are minimally invasive, requiring no incisions on the penis itself. Through male enhancement surgery we are able to provide:

Penis Lengthening
• Penis Widening / Girth Enhancement
• Curvature Correction

Procedures can be performed individually or at the same time, depending on your goals and your body type. All phalloplasty procedures are performed as outpatient procedures in our fully accredited surgical facilities. Procedures can be performed either under local anesthesia or general anesthesia (utilizing board certified anesthesiologists). The best choice for you will be discussed with Dr. Rosenthal at your complimentary consultation. All information is kept confidential and privacy is of our utmost concern.

Penis Lengthening Procedurespenis-lengthening

The penis is located half outside the body and half inside the body. Inside, the penis is attached to the pubic bone by the suspensory ligament. To permanently achieve a longer penis through surgical male enhancement, a small horizontal incision is made above the penis in the pubic region. The suspensory ligament is cut, allowing the penis to gain an additional 1-2 inches outside the body. Results are dependent upon the size of the penis. A larger penis will generally see a larger result. Fat in the pubic region can affect the how long the penis appears. It can also affect the amount of ‘usable’ penis. Liposuction can be used during the procedure to remove excess fat in the pubic region to achieve an enhanced result.

Penile Stretching

Stretching the penis after surgery is a very important part of the lengthening process. This can be performed manually as well as by using small weights. Since this procedure is highly individualized, Dr. Rosenthal will provide you with detailed instructions for your particular procedure. Penis stretching not only helps to enhance the results of the procedure, it also helps prevent the instance of shortend penis. Since the suspensory ligament has been cut, the penis can retract further into the body having an reverse effect. This is why it is very important to closely follow the instructions of your surgeon.

Recovery After Penis Lengthening Surgery

You can expect to be sore in the groin area for about 10 days following the procedure. The scrotum will likely experience some bruising and swelling that can last up to 2 or 3 weeks. Most patients are able to return to non strenuous activities after 2-3 days, week after a week and regular activities after a month. Sexual activity after penis lengthening surgery can be resumed after about a month.

Urination, erection and copulation will not be affected by penile surgery. Loss of sensation is extremely rare. Some patients may notice a change in erection angle. After surgery an erection tends to become more horizontal.

Is Penis Lengthening Covered By Insurance?

Penis lengthening is generally not covered my insurance, except in cases where the patient has a condition known as “buried” or “hidden” penis. A condition known as micro-penis (less than 4 inches erect) is also be covered by insurance in some cases. You will need to check with your insurance provider to see if you are covered.

Penis Widening / Girth Enhancementpenis-widening

As one of the original pioneers of girth enhancement using Alloderm dermal matrix grafts, Dr. Rosenthal is one of the leading phalloplasty surgeons specializing in this field. A small incision in the pubic region is required to perform this procedure. There will be no incisions or scars on the penis. If penis lengthening is performed at the same time, the same incision will be used.

In the past, several methods have been used to achieve a wider penis or increased girth. These include fat injections and fat grafts; however, FDA approved Alloderm dermal matrix grafts provide smoother, more natural looking and feeling results. What is Alloderm? Donor skin is taken and processed, removing cells, leaving only the dermal matrix, known as Alloderm. The dermal matrix is then precisely wrapped around the shaft of the penis below the skin. Typically penis widening or girth enhancement requires 2-3 layers of the dermal matrix. Permanent attachment occurs 4-6 weeks after the procedure, so it is important to closely follow the instructions given to you by Dr. Rosenthal after surgery.

Patients who undergo penis widening or girth enhancement procedures typically see an increase of 25%-35% in circumference.

Circumcision is required prior to undergoing any type of penis widening procedure, although it is not required for penis lengthening procedures. Circumcision before penis widening phalloplasty must be performed at least one month prior to your procedure.
