BIOGRAPHICAL SYNOPSIS

Dr. Naim understands that weight loss is not just a surgery, it is a process. This is why Dr. Naim and his staff are hands on before and after surgery to ensure a sucessful procedure and long term weight loss results. Because it is a highly personal procedure, Dr. Naim will discuss all of the weight loss options available to you. Dr. Naim specializing in a full range of procedures including Lap Band Surgery (gastric banding), both traditional and minimally invasive Gastric Bypass Surgery, and revision weight loss surgery. EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & BOARD CERTIFICATION

Dr. Naim received his Medical Doctorate from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, where he also received a distinction in research. He then completed his residency as Chief Resident at New York Methodist Hospital and his fellowship at University Medical Center at Princeton where he specialized in minimally invasive bariatric procedures.

Dr. Naim is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and is an active member of an array of professional societies including the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and the Internationsal Federation for Surgery of the Obese (FSO).

Dr. Naim serves as a staff surgeon for a wide variety of hospitals and medical centers throughout Southern California, including: St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Tri-City Regional Medical Center in Long Beach, Brotman Medical Center in Culver City, Olympia Medical Center in Los Angeles, Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Hollywood and VA Medical Center in Long Beach. He also serves as the Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at UCI Medical Center in Orange, CA and as the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at Century Cuty Doctors Hospital in Century City, CA.
