Dr. Omid Farahmand D.M.D., a very talented and highly recommended cosmetic dentist, can help reshape your image and give you the self-esteem and confidence you have been dreaming of, by giving you the smile of your dreams.

Here are just a few things that Dr. Farahmand can do to help....
Teeth Whitening
There are several types of teeth whitening or bleaching. The first and far more effective and popular is the in-office bleaching, also known as "laser" whitening. The second is a take-home variety which comes with custom fitted trays and whitening gel. Both types are available at Dr. Farahmand's office. Please ask which type would fulfill your needs and expectations.
Porcelain Veneers
This procedure is featured on T.V. shows such as " Extreme Makeover " and " The Swan ." Porcelain veneers are the best way to hide/correct mal-alligned teeth, teeth that are not ideal in shape, and teeth that are too yellow, dark, or grey to correct by whitening procedures. They can also be used to close gaps between teeth; resulting in "instant orthodontics." Porcelain veneers are very strong and durable, and can be made very thin, resulting in a restoration that is not only beautiful, but also conserves healthy tooth structure. Veneers are permanently bonded in place, virtually becoming a part of your teeth. Schedule your complimentary exam and smile analysis to find out more.
Composite (Tooth-Colored) Fillings
Replace all your unsightly, large silver/mercury fillings with composite fillings. Composite is a tooth-colored resin (no metal) which is actually bonded to your teeth. This bonding procedure results in a much stronger filling when compared to silver/mercury fillings. Bonding also results in a more conservative-sized filling, as there is no need to excessively cut healthy tooth structure, just to get the filling to stick! Composite also does not cause cracks and fractures as silver/mercury fillings often do. Make sure to ask about this procedure during your complimentary exam.
Porcelain and Composite Inlays, Onlays, and Crowns
For teeth in which the problem is too large to be solved with a standard composite filling, porcelain or composite inlays, onlays, or crowns can be an ideal solution. These restorations vary in size and are used in different scenarios. None of them, however, contain any metals, thus eliminating unsightly black or gray lines around teeth that are associated with stardard metal crowns. Also, the margins can be left above the gum line in many instances, making them easier to clean. And as with veneers, since they are bonded, they can often times conserve lots of healthy tooth structure. A combination of these different treatment modalites may be a great way to rehabilitate your smile. Find out if they are the solution for you!
Dental Implants
Dental implants have quickly become the "standard of care" in restoring missing teeth. Learn about the different types, costs, and indications for this treatment by scheduling your appointment today!
Porcelain Bridges
Bridges are a very time and cost-efficient way to effectively restore spaces where teeth are missing and cannot be restored with implants. Bridges have porcelain so that they look natural and esthetic and usually have a substructure made of metal to give the porcelain support. Many times, the metal can be made of gold so that it blends more naturally with the tooth, or it can be eliminted all together, depending on which tooth is missing. Bridges are cemented or bonded to your teeth, (unlike partial or complete dentures) so that they don't come out. If you are missing one or more teeth, and are looking for a non-removable solution, make sure to ask about porcelain bridges at your initial appointment.
Tooth Contouring and Reshaping
Subtle changes to the shape of your teeth can greatly enhance your appearance and smile, without going through cosmetic procedures such as veneers. Learn about the procedures involved, and when contouring is the way to a perfect smile at your complimentary initial appointment.
Dental Crowns/Caps
Crowns or "caps" have a variety of funtions and indications for use. They are primarily used to protect teeth which have weakened or may have broken due to large fillings or decay. They also allow normal chewing forces to be applied to the crown so that the tooth itself is not burdening the load, thus decreasing the likelyhood of a broken tooth, or even worse, a broken root. Call and make your appointment today to learn more!
Partial and Complete Dentures
Dentures are often a good solution when multiple teeth in several areas are missing. They can be made of a flexible plastic material and have porcelain teeth for highly esthetic results. They can also be made metal-free, thus decreasing their weight and increasing their comfort and esthetics.
Roots Canals
Root Canals are indicated when dental decay has permanently damaged the pulp ( nerve.) This treatment allows us to remove the infection without having to remove the tooth.
