Woman Credits Her Breasts for Saving Her Life

Sheyla Hershey, who currently holds the world’s largest breast implants, said the devices saved her during a car crash when the airbag’s failed to deploy.

In 2010, she had her MMM-sized implants removed after developing staph infection but later underwent another breast augmentation.  Currently, she had KKK-sized breast implants which are still the largest in the world.

During an interview with Radar Online, Hershey said she was driving on a slippery road when her car veered off before it hit a tree.

“I am going to pick up my husband after the Super Bowl when I lost control of my Ford Mustang.  My implants saved my life when my car’s airbags didn’t deploy during the crash,” Hershey said.

She believes her large implants saved her life because her breasts “are very sore and have some scratches” right after the incident.  The woman also said the devices have “cushion the impact.”

When police arrived at the scene, Hershey was arrested for driving under the influence, although she denied drinking when she had her accident.  However, she admitted that before the collision, she had taken medications for her bipolar condition and depression, in addition to drugs for headaches and painkillers for the chronic backache she is experiencing because of her large breast implants.

But despite the backache and other physical symptoms of exceptionally large breast implants, Sheyla said she is planning to undergo another breast augmentation to go back to her record MMM-sized bust.  However, she admitted that her husband does not approve her plan because of the incident in 2010 when she developed infection due to countless of revision surgeries.

Whether Hershey’s extremely large implants save her life or not during the crash, leading Los Angeles plastic surgeon Dr. Tarick Smaili does not advice using implant sizes that are “way too large for the body to accommodate.”

“As an experienced cosmetic surgeon, I always advice my patients to choose small to moderate-sized implants because pushing the body’s limit will result to chronic back pain, imbalance, and limited physical movements—things which I believe Hershey is suffering from,” Smaili said.

Meanwhile, Hershey said she had breast augmentation revisions in Brazil where there is no law that limits the amount of silicone implants a person can use.  Another reason why she had to go abroad to achieve her “dreams” is that in the US, Mentor and Allergan (which are the only breast implant manufacturers approved by the FDA) do not offer implants over 800cc.
