Plastic Surgery Changes Mom into Daughter’s Twin
Almost everybody who reads about plastic surgery knows about the “mommy makeover”. That’s a plastic surgery procedure to undo some of the changes to a woman’s body after childbirth.
Usually, it’s a breast lift and perhaps augmentation along with a tummy tuck. (Read more about the mommy makeover.)
But a mommy makeover — 22 years later?
A woman in England, 50-year-old Janet Cunliffe, was so struck with her beautiful, 28-year-old daughter, she decided to have enough plastic surgery to look like her daughter’s twin.
Janet told London’s Daily mail that she was so smitten with the beauty of her daughter Jane she wanted to look more like her sister than her mother.
After spending the equivalent of $15,000 on cosmetic plastic surgery, you may be hard-pressed to look at the picture of the two and easily spot the mom. (Janet is on the left.)
Explained Janet: “It might seem balmy that I wanted cosmetic surgery to look like my daughter, but she is gorgeous. Who wouldn’t want to look like her? The way I see it is she got her looks from me in the first place – mine have just faded with age…”
Janet tried a breast augmentation and strict dieting first, but when that did not bring her closer to her ideal, she decided to have as much plastic surgery as it takes.
Looking at a picture of Janet before plastic surgery as a size 14 redhead, Tarick Smaili, M.D. a board-certified Beverly Hills plastic surgeon said:
“It appears to me that Janet has had nose surgery, upper and lower blepharoplasty (eye lid lifts), a face lift, fat transfer to the lips, probably a neck lift and some chemical or laser resurfacing of her facial skin.”
Dr. Smaili is also founder and medical director of California Surgical Institute.
But the $64,000 question could be: How did Janet have all that surgery for only $15,000?
For one, her breast augmentation was done several years ago. All the other plastic surgery was done, not in Britain, but in Croatia where all prices are much lower.
However, offshore plastic surgery is a whole separate story. Next time!

It’s really amazing what plastic surgery can do. I know it may seem like a waste of money to some, but as long as they’re happy with it I have no complaints.
