Plastic Surgery Beauty Queen
Non Surgical Procedures, Plastic Surgery Comments (1)
With rejuvenation surgery spreading across the world and finding willing subjects, every so often, a beauty contest for women who have had the attention of plastic surgeons – sometimes lots of attention – is held.
The last plastic surgery beauty contest that made headlines around the world was in 2004 in China when contestants from 17 to 62 entered. The one requirement: entrants must have some plastic surgery procedures.
The contest got its start after a Chinese lass (O.K. so we’re mixing our metaphors!) who had some $13,000 worth of plastic surgery tried to enter the Miss Beijing Beauty Contest.
But she was shown the door because she was not a “natural beauty.”
An opportunistic businessman saw an opportunity and organized the Miss Plastic Surgery Beauty Contest, only for women who have had cosmetic plastic surgery.
Required to enter the judging: contestants must show their before and after plastic surgery pictures. (They probably must also provide receipts showing the cost of plastic surgery they paid too!)
After that, China held a Miss Ugly contest to find the woman most in need of plastic surgery.
Now, a Miss Plastic Hungary contest has sprouted for former plastic surgery patients who have an address within Hungary’s borders.
The contest is interactive, too, with five judges choosing 24 finalists from a narrowed field of 50 cosmetic surgery patients.
Internet users and media representatives get to choose one of the 24 who are headed for the final selection in October, 2009, in Budapest.
If you’ve had a nip or a tuck and have – or plan on getting – an address in Hungary, read the other plastic surgery beauty contest rules.
The winner receives a new apartment while the first runner up gets a new car and the second runner up wins a vacation in Kenya.
The contest features separate judging categories for:
- Contestants between 18 and 30
- Entrants over 30
- The Joan Rivers category
