Plastic Surgery Beauty Contest, 2010

Overseas Plastic Surgery Comments (0)

Miss Plastic Surgery 2009 surrounded by her runners up.

CSI (California Surgical Institute) prides itself on bringing you all the plastic surgery news that’s fit to print!

So we may be first in bringing you another of our world-shaking exclusives – at least on this side of the Atlantic.

One of your all time favorite CSI blog posts – judging by reader requests for more pictures – has announced yet another installment of (drum roll, please) The (wait for it…..) Miss Plastic Surgery (sound the trumpets!) Beauty Contest!!

Yet again this year, another two dozen or thereabout Hungarian beauties who have had their faces and bodies enhanced by cosmetic plastic surgery will line up for judging on a stage in Budapest.

As per last year, (see CSI’s report about the 2009 plastic surgery beauty contest) requirements are strict and insist on:

  • Documentation firmly establishing an entrant’s plastic surgery procedure.
  • Being disqualified for Botox or collagen injections
  • Being over 18
  • Joining a special judging group for entrants over age 30

But don’t get the idea the contestants are there to show off hugely augmented breasts, swollen, oversized lips or facial skin pulled as tight as a drum.

Instead, the pageant organizer, Tamas Rozos, M.D., a plastic surgeon who wants the remainder of the European Union to know more about rejuvenation surgery in his homeland says:

“The contest is about restoring harmony….eliminating asymmetries and giving women a chance to have normal features.

(Sounds like “Artistic Mastery of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery” – the CSI slogan, doesn’t it?)

“Plastic surgery has a bad reputation in Hungary but it’s mostly due to exaggerations.”

Well, O.K., doctor, maybe a few procedures have apparently not gone well but how do you establish balance in harmony and former asymmetries of the beauty queens without before and after plastic surgery pictures?

That’s where plastic surgeons come into the judging. After the beauty queens have been judged on appearance, a medical panel adds extra points based on the quality of their surgery.

The winners — and their plastic surgeons – receive not-so-chintzy prizes. Last year’s prizes included:

  • An apartment
  • A Mercedes
  • $10K in jewelry
  • Prizes for top surgeons

Wait — this just in!

Reuters just announced that contest officials have named Alexandra Locsis, 24, Miss Plastic 2010.

It wasn’t her many talents, sunny personality or beautiful face that sealed the deal.

The judges were floored by the neat stitching on Alexandra’s boob job!

Guess what’s next? Miss Plastic Universe. Stay tuned.
