New Plastic Surgery TV Shows: Coming Soon!
Botox, Breast Augmentation, Plastic Surgery Comments (1)
It looks like some programmers at various Los Angeles area television producers are asking Dr. 90210, Nip-Tuck and Real Housewives of Orange County to move over.
More plastic surgery reality shows are in the offing for 2009. (Well, okay, Real Housewives isn’t only about plastic surgery – just obscenely conspicuous consumption!) But most of the housewife characters can’t live without Botox, breast augmentation and other plastic surgery!
Slated for airing on the Oxygen channel is the new “Addicted to Beauty” program which takes place in an upscale, full-service Medspa
The show follows the staff and clients who come in looking for beauty fixes, including Botox, lip augmentation, microdermabrasion, hair and tattoo removal and other spiffy treatments that may be more in a doctor’s bailiwick than that of a beauty operator’s. (Read more about “Addicted to Beauty.)
Producers say a smattering of more serious procedures like breast augmentation and tummy tucks will be tossed in.
If you didn’t already know — a Medspa is usually a day spa that has all the regular amenities – sun rooms, Jacuzzis, masseuse staff and the like — connected to the practice of a plastic or cosmetic surgeon. Hence, some non or minimally invasive procedures are usually available at your friendly local Medspa. (Check for Medspas in your state.)
The other up-and-coming reality show, “True Beauty,” will be seen on national television network ABC and follows the adventures of ten super hotties (six stunning women and four handsome males) living in one mansion.
The ten roommates (or mansion mates as the case may be!) vie to become the one true beauty and win a pile of cash along with a slot in People Magazines “100 Most Beautiful list.”
I would bet doughnuts to dollars there will be some voting out of the mansion, too!
My real money is on a show wherein the plastic surgery procedures (breast augmentation, nose jobs and male breast reduction surgery) are already done!
What do you think? Do the airwaves have room for yet another reality show?

I have watched “Addicted to Beauty” once and I have to say there are some real whiners on the show who are very lucky to have a job period but they also are lucky to have a job in a great place but don’t seem to see this. Diane seems like a really nice lady who is good to work for who I feel bad for because of her pending divorce and the upstart of the spa and medical portion merging….it’s a lot to take on. That being said, at the risk of sounding mean Diane, honey you need to back off on the injectables especially the lips. The first thing I noticed is that you look really “done”. You are very pretty but my god, it’s just too much to the point of looking freaky….if you were just a little more natural you would be gorgeous and look just that….natural.
