Most Cosmetic and Plastic Surgeries – Ever!
The ears of plastic surgery fans all over the greater Los Angeles area picked up when Guinness World Records announced a new world record for the most cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures ever performed on one person.
English winner 49-year-old Sarah Burge has:
- Had over 100 cosmetic surgeries
- Spent $850,000 on rejuvenation surgery
- Replaced former record holder American Cindy Jackson who only had 12 major procedures
Even though Sarah is pushing the half century mark, her current pictures don’t look much different from snap shots taken when she was 14. (View Sarah’s plastic surgery before and after pictures.)
Her major surgeries include:
- Rhinoplasty
- Buttocks lift
- Breast enhancements
- Liposuction of the face, hips, thighs and jaw line
- Tummy Tuck
- Eyelid lift
- Chin augmentation
Sarah’s other procedures were more minor and included teeth whitening, laser skin procedures, facial fillers, Botox and fat injection into her hands, among others.
As amazing as Sarah’s story is, she also demonstrates a psychological condition that most cosmetic and plastic surgeons are trained to watch for: Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD.)
Affected patients are preoccupied by imagined or minor defects in their looks.
Smart plastic surgeons screen these patients out because BDD sufferers are never satisfied with any procedure, regardless how well the healed surgery looks.
Psychologist Katharine Phillips, M.D. once studied 500 BDD patients and found:
- 37% obsessed about their noses
- 22% were fixated on their stomachs
- 21% had compulsions about their breasts
- 20% were infatuated about the eye area
Guess where they took their concerns? That’s right, to the nearest plastic surgeon!
Plastic surgeons say you are usually normal in your desire for rejuvenation surgery if you only dislike one or two of your features and just want to look like the best possible version of yourself.
Not like you did 25 years ago!
