Mommy Makeover - Breast Lift, Tummy Tuck and Liposuction

Breast Augmentation, Breast Implants, Breast Lift, Liposuction, Tummy Tuck

One of America’s most popular cosmetic plastic surgeries, the “Mommy Makeover,” has made its way to England.

British doctors took a survey of 2,000 new moms and found one in four were thinking about the makeover surgery, with 75 percent admitting they were shocked by the toll childbirth took on their bodies.

A mommy makeover almost always includes a breast lift.   Many mothers experience sagging and drooping of their breasts due to:

  • Hormonal changes during pregnancy
  • Weaning

The skin stretches beyond its ability to rebound, allowing the breasts to droop.  A new mom may notice changes in her cup size too, due to these changes.

Depending on the woman’s anatomy and breast size (larger breasts tend to droop more) the plastic surgeon may suggest:

  • Breast implants– to improve the fullness
  • A breast lift – to reshape and contour

Some women with new babies are reluctant to undergo surgery for a variety of reasons, including fear of pain, scarring and infection.

But a Los Angeles-area study of 268 new mothers over ten years who had the complete mommy makeover all at once (breast lift, breast augmentation, tummy tuck and liposuction) revealed:

  • No more complication or revision rates than if the subjects had the three surgeries spaced out over time.

Thanks to the procedure, some famous actress/mothers are able to appear before the cameras sooner, looking just like their pre-baby svelte selves.

Who is your favorite star who went back to work soon after childbirth?
