Lap Band Golfer to Tiger Woods: ‘Fess Up!

Lap Band Surgery Comments (1)

Old John DalyLap Band golfer John Daly has now taken 114 pounds off his once 288 pound frame after Lap Band doctors inserted his band in February, 2009.

When CSI blog readers last heard about Daly, he was just finishing his six-month Professional Golf Association (PGA) ban for extreme bad boy behavior and heading back into professional golf, big time. (Read more about the Lap Band golfer.)

Calling out to Tiger Woods from Australia, Daly urges Tiger to come totally clean about all the circumstances of his recent car crash keep his many fans (and maybe even his sponsors!) and concentrate on golf.

“The sport of golf really, really needs Tiger Woods,” exclaims Daly who reasons if Tiger would just come totally clean a la David Letterman, it will all soon blow over and everybody can get on with life and even more incredible golfing.

Currently, Daly is knocking ‘em dead Down Under in the Australia Open where he plays every year. Daly is also pitching woo with his new lady love, Anna Cladakis, an executive in the Hooters bar chain, one of Daly’s sponsors.

Daly even sees a psychologist once weekly, has given up his high fat and junk food diet and stays on 1200 scant calories daily.

It all started during his PGA ban when Daly was playing golf with friends, one of whom happened to be a surgeon. Daly complained how hard it was to lose weight and learned on the links what a Lap Band procedure could do for him.

Old John DalyDaly is so impressed with the Lap Band, he now advocates for the surgical weight loss device and procedure, urging the U.S. government to make it more widely available to help combat obesity.

Daly’s 17-year-old daughter also has a weight problem but now has lost 66 pounds after getting a Lap Band of her own. “She can wear jeans for the first time ever,” says the proud Papa.

Says John about his own new shape: “Your self esteem gets better; you don’t like being teased like I was as a fat young kid.”

Adds Anna who has seen John go from a bloated falling down drunk to 174-pound hunk: “He walks a lot better, a lot stronger and a lot firmer. And he still has the biggest heart there is!”
