Cosmetic Surgery Champ: I’m 54 – but look 25!
Celebrity Plastic Surgery Comments (0)
We asked 54-year-old Cindy Jackson, the Guinness World Records holder for most cosmetic surgery procedures (51), what’s it like to look 25. Here’s her reply:
Successful cosmetic surgery is life-changing on many levels, boosts self-confidence, attracts criticism, causes jealousy and completely changes the way you are perceived by others!
I‘ve experienced all that in varying degrees over the past 23 years. Unlike 1988 — when I had my first procedure – cosmetic plastic surgery is now mainstream. Complete strangers in the most unlikely parts of the globe confide in me the work they’ve had. Usually, they also tell me that no one else knows their secret.
Because my surgeries have been ongoing and in the public eye, I’ve experienced a unique view of human psychology when it comes to others’ reaction to people who’ve gone under the knife. The most overwhelmingly common response is identification since the majority of us would change something about ourselves if we could. Critics can be spiteful and judgmental, but they are in the minority. Far and away the most interesting reaction is from casual observers who assume that I am much younger, less intelligent or more gullible — due to my appearance.
Despite being a longstanding member of Mensa, (whose entrance requires an IQ in the top two percent) I have been treated like a dumb blonde. I am 54, yet in conversation I am not expected to remember the Beatles or the day JFK was assassinated, but to know the name of Lady Gaga’s latest hit.
While I’m in a committed relationship with a wonderful man my own age, I get attention from boys young enough to be my sons. Rather than feeling insulted or flattered by any of these situations, I regard them as proof of my convincingly natural looking surgical results. That’s due solely to the background work I do before surgery and the superior ability of the surgeons I select. I have seen so many people my age who only look like 54-year-olds with facelifts. For me, that’s not satisfactory.
The lesson here: do your homework, select the right procedure and chose the best plastic surgeon for the job. My bestselling book, Cosmetic Surgery Secrets, available from www.cindyjackson.com, explains in detail exactly how I achieved outstanding results, and how you can too.
