Breast Augmentation Mistakes: Denise Richards’ Duo

Bad Plastic Surgery, Celebrity Plastic Surgery, Revision Plastic Surgery Comments (4)

denise_richards-at-28By now, almost everybody has heard about Denise Richards’ frank interview with former Big Apple radio shock jock Howard Stern on a recent Sirius Satellite interview.

The interview just shows that your own mistakes can be exploited – although they are sometimes very expensive – as excellent opportunities for learning and advancement.

When Stern asked in his usual thoughtful, charming and debonair way (NOT!) if her breasts were real, Denise said her breasts “were natural on the outside but not on the inside.”

In other words, she’s had a breast enlargement?

No. She’s had three.

Denise’s first breast enhancement came at 19 when she was just starting her career; she discovered one could buy a more attractive buntline.

So because she was “flat as a board” she just “had them done” and probably asked her then-roommate for the name of her plastic surgeon.

To cope better: put at least as much research into the plastic surgery procedure you want and plastic surgeons as you would buying a new car.

Make your selection from board-certified plastic surgeons, and try to find a super-specialist, one who does your procedure several times weekly.

Her first operation did not turn out very well, because she wound up with breast implants that overwhelmed her body. That lead to a second, or revision, breast augmentation.

But that didn’t go well, either, because the surgeon made them even larger!

To cope better: Your surgeon and you should be on the same page about realistic results.

denise-richards1For everybody to know what outcome is wanted, use:

  • Your surgeon’s many before and after breast augmentation pictures to decide on the size.
  • A computer imaging device that will morph your current size into a very close screen shot of what your final results should look like.
  • The various sizing devices you can stuff into a bra to try on for size.

The third time? A success, says Denise, adding that she hopes young girls learn from her mistakes.

She did not mention it, but by the time of the third procedure, Denise had probably learned to use a revision specialist, a surgeon who specializes in repairing bad plastic surgery.

“I was young and should have researched better,” admits Denise.
