Botox on Wheels

Botox, Plastic Surgery Comments (1)

You read it here first!

Back in January, we reported that new ways of delivering Botox were springing up and told our readers about the nation’s first Botox only walk-in clinic. It’s sort of an all-Botox-all-the-time approach although we would not recommend holding your breath waiting for 24/7 hours.

Now, with a weather eye out for ever more new delivery methods of America’s favorite facial injectable, we’ve spotted one that is perfect for traffic-choked locations like what exists in Southern California. (Now you are talking 24/7!)

Botox on wheels has just announced its availability for Orange County residents.

Home delivery of lighter forms of cosmetic surgery on wheels was first introduced in the mother of all traffic-choked places, New York City. The Big Apple providers – known as “Delivering Beauty”  use their own wheels to bring Botox and a few other substances like Restylane to your home, office, hotel, movie set, dressing room, T.V. station, well, hey, you get the point.

(At this juncture, we should mention the professional societies like American Society of Plastic Surgeons recommend that any medical procedure – even a Botox injection — should be done in a medical setting. But the choice is yours.) Read more about Botox and Restylane on wheels in New York City.

In Southern California, the desire to name the service something like Botoxmobile, seems almost irresistible, if not too close to Batmobile.  The latest delivery service is in the O.C.  (yes, that O.C., home of the Real Housewives of Orange County!) at a Newport Beach medical spa.

The service follows the New York City example and, according to their website, goes one step further and totes along a laser in the Botoxmobile for, well, laser procedures like laser hair removal. The service will also meet at your choice of spas.

Between the lines, we get the idea the service does not include a plastic surgeon on wheels.  Says their website: “The experienced professionals…. bring their expertise and equipment either to your front door or to specially selected spas in your neighborhood.”

So, to be safe, you have to go through the whole questioning routine about the qualifications of the person actually delivering the injections. (As a guideline, use our previous blog about the top five questions to ask before Botox.)

Gives the term, “ordering in” a whole new meaning, huh?

Do you know of any other plastic surgery services that are delivered to homes or offices? If so, let us know!
