Best Buttocks: World Contest Names Best Guy and Gal Rears

One of the most popular cosmetic plastic surgery performed in Southern California, buttocks augmentation, seems to have a world following. At least, judging by a recent contest to find the world’s most beautiful male and female derrieres.
Oddly, the United States seemed to be left out of that contest although statistics show Americans had somewhere around 9,000 buttock enhancements in 2007, the most recent year for which statistics exist.
In early November, a European underwear firm announced the winners of the world’s Most Beautiful Bottoms competition, held in France. Clad in the sponsor’s under garments, 45 finalists from 26 nations strutted their stuff for the judges.
The woman champ was a 20-year-old from Brazil while the male winner was 27-year-old
Frenchman, but the contest rules said nothing about buttocks augmentation. I guess only your plastic surgeon knows for sure! (And he or she is sworn to secrecy).

But for people who have less-than-perfect buttocks, (hey, that’s most of us!) the buttocks enhancement procedure, sometimes known as Brazilian Butt Lift, offers men and women a more shapely rear end.

To provide that curvaceous shape, surgeons carefully and gently remove fat where you have some to spare and inject it into different layers of your buttocks tissues and muscles. That procedure is also known as fat grafting.
In most people, donor fat can be taken from:
- The tummy
- Hips
- Back
- Thighs
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia in about one and one-half hours.
Afterwards, patients must wear a compression garment for one to two weeks.
Buttocks augmentation patients can usually go back to work in three to five days and can expect to see results in their newly enhanced derrieres in six to eight weeks.
